The Muslim Sunrise endeavors to share true Islamic teachings across the United States of America. Beginning publication in 1921, the Muslim Sunrise carries the distinction of being the longest running Muslim publication in America. Dr. Mufti Muhammad Sadiq, an eminent scholar and first missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to arrive in America, founded the magazine (then named “The Moslem Sunrise” and “Shams-ul-Islam”, i.e., the Sun of Islam) in 1921.
The Muslim Sunrise seeks to open discussions on Islam and topics relating to religion in general. It highlights the role of Islam in an ever changing global society. It provides a platform for public opinion on contemporary issues and presenting their solutions from an Islamic perspective. As of January 2022, the Muslim Sunrise publishes twelve monthly issues a year as well as original online content on its website and social media platforms.
